Betting on soccer is a little distinct from general sports. There are various ways to bet a side and total in soccer matches, including three-way money lines or backing the double chance.
What is a Three-Way Moneyline?
There are three choices when betting the three-way moneyline:
- Team A wins
- Team B wins
- Team A and Team B draw
Three-way moneyline results are ranked solely on 90 minutes of play, also known as ‘Regular Time.’ This covers any injury or break time added by the referee’s call, but does not cover overtimes or penalty shootouts.
For instance, Argentina played Germany in the 2014 World Cup Final, and the final three-way moneyline was:
- Germany +130
- Argentina +255
- Draw +230
Argentina and Germany tied with 0-0, after 90 minutes regular time, means the game is Draw +230 cashed. Wager on Germany (+130) or Argentina (+255) lost.
What is a Two-Way Moneyline?
Another way of betting soccer is the two-way moneyline, which is played in two options: Double Chance and Draw No Bet. Both are based solely on 90 minutes of regular time. Double Chance means you are wagering on a specific team to draw, or either team to win. The three possible results are:
- Team A wins or draws
- Team B wins or draws
- Team A wins or Team B wins
For each bet, you’re generally just reducing one of the results.
Draw No Bet is a wager that removes the prospect of the draw, so the only two possible outcomes are:
- Team A wins
- Team B wins
Since the draw is removed from the equation, these odds are usually based on the favorite.
If the game finishes in a draw in regular time, then all bets are refunded.
Betting Goal-Lines
Almost the same as betting the Two-Way Moneyline, the Goal Line is a kind of wager that reduces at least one outcome. Goal Lines are comparable to hockey, football, or basketball game. A Goal Line is usually -0.5 goals in soccer, but for games with big picks.
When bargaining with goal lines or spreads, there’s always juice related, just like an NFL spread or NBA spread. If you wager on Argentina -2.5 goals, then to win the bet, they must win by three goals or more.
Always remember, the most significant stat a bettor can get comes from the English Premier League. Whenever a team is scored by 2-1 in the half time, they end up as winners at a seventy-five percentage.…
